artist talk after the performance
In the series Endangered Human Movements Chilean-born and Vienna-based artist Amanda Piñas deals with the question of vulnerable cultures and the disappearance of biodiversity.
Climatic dances is a dance exercise on our changing perception of the earth throughout history. The focus is set on a Chilean mountain threatened by environmental destruction. The mountain becomes a place of grief but also of anger and resistance. Ahead of the presentations Amanda Piñas will rehearse parts of the choreographies with locals. This is her way to preserve Maya dance traditions worldwide.
Entrance: tested, vaxinated or recovered.
