As part of the residency program 1176 Kubikmeter Luft, David Kwiek, Aleksandr Batuev and Joseph Franciosa explore the three-dimensionality of space, bringing together their different experiences from the fields of StreetDance/FunkStyle, extreme flexing and film. In a workshop, acrobatic artist Aleksandr Batuev will share his diverse knowledge and tricks with you as an expert in flexing / contortion and balance.

Aleksandr Batuev was born in Russia, Perm 1991. At age of 17 started to practice parkour but because of injury change his hobby to contortion. Aleksandr was studying from engineer but after couple student festivals in University he decided to leave it and connected his life with art. Already year after this decision he performed in one of the most important place for circus artist in Le Plus Grand Cabaret du Monde in Paris, and after that his career start to rise very fast. Year after he took part in his first circus festival in Fugueras, Spain, which opened the door for the biggest circus shows like Christmas circus in Stuttgart in Germany and Monte-Carlo circus festival where he got bronzen prize. During the career Aleksandr create several acts but the most popular is Future Man, which he performed in many countries all over the world.
