REVENANTS is dedicated to the ghosts of history that inspire a politics of emancipation and resistance. They are the unredeemed, the unrelieved and unacknowledged who do not give peace because extreme injustice has happened to them, the anti-heroes of history, whose bodies do not appear. If there were a collective unconscious, their protagonists would be the REVENANTS. Choreographer & dancer Ursina Tossi awakens figures from history(s) and pop culture and illuminates the violence of patriarchy and capitalist power relations from a queer-feminist perspective.

About Ursina Tossi
Ursina grew up in a small village in southern Germany. She studied classical ballet, contemporary dance, politics and philosophy in Ludwigshafen and Mannheim and received her MA in Choreography at ArtEZ Arnhem in 2014. For Ursina Tossi, queer feminism is not just an emancipatory project, it is a life- practice: housework, mutual support, dancing, making art – and doing politics belong together. Her work combines dance and political discourse with intense physicality and moves between NRW, Hamburg, Berlin, Munich and, since 2020, internationally.
