Background
Voguing is a dance style that has its origins in the queer 'ballroom' subculture of New York City, which is characterized by trans women of color. But living ballroom culture means much more than just dancing together: The voguing groups organized in houses become their own family of choice. The ballroom becomes a place of social cohesion and queer representation.
In the workshop, Kendall also provides insights into this background to voguing. Kendall is an official member of the Legendary Porcelain House of Miyake Mugler. This house is known for its members which are bright representatives in Face, Vogue Femme, Body & Fashion categories. In the Kiki-scene, Kendall bears the title of ICON and is part of the Kiki House of Telfar.
Kendall started voguing in 2010 - 2011 with Mother Nikki Gorgeous Gucci & Mother Lasseindra Ninja.
Today Kendall is a winner of many Vogue balls, fashion performer, a teacher around the World and also he is called one of the strongest and most extravagant representatives of Paris and the European ballroom scene.
Kendall also received
- International Voguer Of the Year
- BQ Vogue femme of the Year
- BQ of the the year
And has been deemed Legendary Performance by the Icons Vjuan Allure (Rest In Peace), Jack Mizrahi, André Mizrahi, Arturo Miyake Mugler, Sinia Alaïa, Dashaun Lanvin and became the Overall European Mother of the house of Miyake Mugler the same night at the Return of Porcelain Ball the 12th of October 2019.
